Monterey is peaceful. At times, I am a little bored. When that happens, I remind myself 'its raining in Seattle, girl!'
Swung the camera bag over my shoulder on the way out for a dog walk today.

| Here's Bentley. I don't understand why his hind leg is lifted for this picture. He's a licker. Licks you from head to toe, all the time!
|

| The Muttley Crew: Bentley & Alex. They seem to hate the camera. Can dogs sense these things? They must have. Alex nearly broke my nose, she charged me full force. Bentley hit my knees from behind, knocked me flat on my back. Psycho dogs. Got sand in my mouth too. Blech!!

| Caught these two kitties hogging my chair. Months ago my mom discovered these two little cuties in a box, left in the cold. Of course, with her big heart, she took them in and nursed them, with bottles & kitty formula, to health. They're unbelievably cute. Totally distructive!

The rain came down, the sunset faded, the idea was going to pieces until I thought, man, its been a long time since I've shot in the dark. Sopping wet camera bag and matted, messy hair made for a great close to the day.
Can't put my finger on why, but prior to shooting I was feeling restless. Despite an hour-long run on the beach, it didn't take the edge off my itch. So I jumped in the car, sped off to this fabulous place about 25 miles away. Its just 10 miles from Hollister (can't wait to checkidout).
SJB is old. And hard to find. Especially in the rain. At night. Its moody. I loved it.
Dragged out one of my 'fun' lenses like the tilt-shift 45mm, specialty lens for architectural photography, but great for creative moments like yesterday. I sorta have a 'thing' for old Spanish buildings, I guess it started when my German friends and I happened upon a mission in Mallorca, Spain. After a day of being carsick thanks to curvy-ass island roads, we stepped out of the car to find this amazing old, TINY little mission. That was in 2002. Been hooked ever since. The smaller, the better!
|

| Love the cross. Each mission has its own unique version.
|

| I thought California was supposed to be dry.
|

| There was something about the wood beam splitting the 2 sections of wall.
|

| used the fisheye for this shot.
|

| This felt like something out of a horror movie.

OMG! After experiencing hell on earth rollercoaster rides for the last 30 days, my website is finally back up with a lot of new changes. Thanks to BIGFOLIO all is well.Their service & response time was OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend!
Due to the website & email nosedive for nearly a month, business during our prime booking season has suffered greatly. For real, if you or someone you know is looking for a wedding photographer in 2008 & 2009, please think of us! We are in need of a little help from providence.
For those of you wondering where your pictures are...the site will continue to be updated with lots of additions over the next several days. The great thing about this website is that we can make updates anytime, anywhere. Its no longer a static portfolio! A hearty thanks to all the very wonderful, LOVELY ladies & gents who allow me to photograph them on their very special occasions. Thank you!
Last but not least, email was recucitated.

| Its NICE to have my feet back on the ground after 7 days of insanity through the airports! I flew back from CA last week to catch a flight that I pre-booked in Nov. to visit Ray. From Marina to Seattle, Seattle to Dulles, Dulles to Florida, Florida to Chicago, Chicago to Seattle and on to Marina. I'm sick of pretzels! Chicago, although cold, was gorgeous from above. the lake iced over! The city powdered with sugar. I lived in the suburbs of Chi-town back in the early 90's. Anyone ever heard of Round Lake Beach? I attended MacArthur for 3 years, great school! |

| Snow caused delays. Delays caused missed connections. I was stranded for the night in Dulles. A nice looking pilot helped me book at room nearby at Dulles, regular price $189. Crew price $80. Frank from Newport, wherever you are, THANK YOU!!! |

| Finally arrived to Georgia 2 1/2 days behind schedule. Ray's class wasn't dismissed for another 6 hours, so I killed time at Jekyl Island near Brunswick, GA. Discovered the COOLEST Sea Turtle hospital. They're fed little ice cubes with protein chunks to build their strength. They're very well taken care of, and have all sorts of predators to watch out for: cold water, boats, even barnicles can harm them. Just the cutest little guys. |

| After visiting the Sea Turtle hospital, the Jekyl Island Club Hotel caught my eye. They have weddings here! I would love to be on their list of vendors, this would be a dream to shoot at. Old world furniture and architecture. It was exciting. |

| Finally Ray's class let out and we headed for the beach! |

| We stopped at so many places along the way, Vero Beach, Vero Outlet Center, Flagler, Jacksonville. Originally we were going to Miami, but we only made it as far as Ft. Lauderdale. You can only ride in the car so long. I sooo miss my honey. He's chipper, full of pep. It was only a 3 day visit, but time went by slowly and we had a ton of laughs. I love poking him in the stomach and teasing him about his u-turn habit. Only 6 more weeks to go till my sweetie is back home. I LOVE YOU BABE! I'm glad I got to see him, yay! |

| we're booked until valentine's day with boudoir sessions, but you can still book anytime throughout the year....be a rockstar! sessions begin at $425 includes b&w, color images & basic retouching |
