The first week of September my grandparents came to visit. Although there aren't a whole lot of pictures, here's an overview of the comedy that took place. Thanks to Sean's advice, we took my grandparents on the DUCKS tour.  The tour guide yelped for us to see the happiest man in Seattle, here he is....

supercloseup on the Ducks tour.

The end of the tour- we conquered.

Swung by Leavenworth, it brought back memories of Germany! My grandma couldn't believe how much it truly looked like Bavaria. She marveled about the gift shops and yummy food.

Grandpa Jack loves the ladies.

White chocolate marshmellows = headache

My favorite times with them was sitting around the table. As opposed to sitting in front of the computer with a cereal bowl,  having guests kinda forced us to eat at the table! This is what I miss most about them being here.

One of my favorite family memories was showing my grandma a JELLY BATH. She was amazed how funky the jelly felt between her toes. She also got her very first pedicure at 69!

We ran them all over town and walked their butts off!  In fact, we were supposed to have Kelly take our pictures but totally ran out of time. Instead, we took some last minute shots 5 minutes before we took them back to the airport!!! We rigged the pocket wizards and fired off a few shots.

The slideshow might be a pain to load, but its neat. Should we do this more often?  Thanks to pocket wizards and a tripod, I could be in two places at once. It comes in hand for people who shoot solo.

Congratulations to the Massa's....this is the ultimate unscripted wedding. My favorite shooting experience, ever. Port Ludlow Inn is gorgeous. The catering & event staff gave outstanding service. I highly recommend considering this venue if you are on the hunt.

To Beata & Mike: 1,000 thank you's for everything. Such an honor!

Check back Friday night for Beata & Mike's wedding album design! Here's a snapshot that grew on me over the last few weeks. Beata and Mike created their own moves for the camera, nothing was scripted. They were peaches & cream to work with. Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Massa!

Great news!  Its finally happened, I'm moving my home-based business into a studio space! Yahoo!!! The keys will be turned over October 1st.  You can't imagine how long I've waited to actualize this dream. We've been looking for several months in search of the perfect spot. It had to be quirky, bright, and in close proximity to other full-time artists.  Working at home is NOT for me. It was great initially, but you've heard the expression 'crawling the walls'..... The need for socialization and a daylight studio irked me so much that after 2 years I was ready to quit photography or move into a studio. So be it.  The decision had to be one or the other! With so much already invested, I knew what the answer was, it was only a matter of time before we stumbled upon the ideal pad.

The art studio location is in downtown Tacoma. Eyebrows raised, I know, I know. The studio neighbors a ballet school, a coffe shop (Ray gives it 2 thumbs up) and has a brand new 3 acre park within walking distance. The space is small and quirky. We're in the process of signing papers over the next couple of days, with all the album design going on right now  from back to back weddings in August, I haven't devoted much thought to accessories and details of the studio. Any way you look at it, its an exciting new chapter! Boudoir, family, babies, and meet n' greets will take place there. I'll post pictures of the renovations as the process moves along!
